They probably saw the weak convention year ahead (according to previous reporting) and decided to pack-up. I do wonder if they would have been better near or at Union Station.

This does feel like something RAC should be able to subsidize when needed if $500K is the difference between open/closed.

They also said they lost federal funding. I agree that there's no real reason for this not to be subsidized by the RAC or even just the city. Or hell I'm sure you could even find a rich person who would write a check to cover the deficit for a year.

So then I wonder if the people at Union Station could buy the museum and it's pieces and bring them to Union Station. Synergy of operating costs, lower the price a bit, extend hours.  Them or Kranzberg Arts Foundation could bring it to Grand Center. Does Jefferson Arms have anymore free retail space? City Foundry?

This just seems like the central feature so many developments in STL might be looking for to push development forward that it would be a waste to see it dissolved out of STL.

Ouch…Was a unique attraction to downtown StL. Any possibility a new group reopens it? It was a pretty good space and the wednesday night jam sessions were a nice event.

I hate to see this go. Had a nice looking entrance and downtown needs every attraction it can get

Hate that we couldn’t keep this supported and up and running
