I find it oddly appealing. The intellectual side of me says it's completely wrong, but I like it.

It would stick out like a sore thumb somewhere like Benton Park, but I think it fits the neighborhood perfectly. After buzzing around a little bit on Google Maps, it looks like this block has improved a lot over the past few years.

I toured one of these a few months back as part of LDG showing me around their investments in this part of town. The homes are simple, but designed to open up home ownership to lower income families. They're efficient and get the job done. However, all need to be sold within a certain period of time to retain certain tax credits that allowed them to be built and sold for below the cost of construction.
