An old printing factory near Grand Center will become home to the city's newest museum and the latest crop of residential lofts.

The two-story building, formerly owned by Hart Printing Co., is being converted into the Moto Lofts, 3441 Olive Street. A vintage-motorcycle museum will go inside 11,000 square feet on the first floor; four loft apartments will occupy 4,000 square feet on a second level.

Hello Moto!

That is a pretty cool and unique concept to have a vintage motorcycle museum as well. I hope it's free like our other museums in town. I can't wait until it opens.

More good stuff for the SLU area. It would be nice to see some more ground floor retail in the Olive/Locust area. There are a lot less bars serving the SLU community than there were when I was there.

I always like a free museum. I think that if you say 'Admission is free, donations accepted' that most patrons/visitors will drop some cash in a box. So you end up getting some dough out of the deal.

There's another vintage motorcycle museum in st. louis on Gravois. It's the same deal. 1 owner needed a place to store his personal collection so bought a storefront. In this instance it's Dave Mungenast and the collection is primarily vintage Hondas. Maybe the two could combine?

Amy & Amrit Gill are in negotiations with the bank to take over this development.

I assume that is to complete the residential portion since the Moto Museum is open already?
