Talk to an 84 year-old man at the Lady Queen in Bismark a few years ago. Said he worked in th lead mines. He got "leaded" once. Not sure what that meant. I presume some sort of extraordinary exposure.

Fortunately for those that still work in the Viburnum Trend, mining there is probably going to continue for a long, long time. There is just isn't anywhere else in the world where lead is as plentiful as it is in Southeast Missouri.
