So, two less units and condos instead of apartments?  I'm assuming because condos are less "vagrant?"

2112 S Jefferson just burned. Real shame considering the nearby mixed use rehabs happening on Jefferson.

Anyone know if this has started yet? I was by there a couple months ago and it had not started by then. But it's also from one of those active but smaller developers that has quite a bit on their plate and it can be hard to tell what's prioritized.

Meanwhile over on S. Jefferson, two new homes on adjacent, former LRA lots have been issued permits and one has started. And the 2112 S Jefferson building has been cleared.

Union Loafers will be opening a new production facility and cafe at 1854 Russell in the McKinley Heights neighborhood.

The new facility will become their primary production facility and greatly expand their capacity.

The 4,600 square foot build out cost $500,000 and will be opening at the end of September or early October.

I have been watching this project with great interest for YEARS now. The name listed on permits is "Morning Loafers" which is cute. I can't wait for my neighborhood to smell like baking bread :)

Hey, we're near neighbors, I live across Jefferson in Fox Park. I too will welcome bread smells. Didn't this used to be Pandora Bakery back in the 90s or am I misremembering? Seems like the bakers would go in around midnight and start baking whilst the crack folks were getting started. That drug really had a hold on this part of town back then.

I still can't decide which smells better: baking bread or roasting coffee.

I used to love the smell of the Nabisco plant off Landsdowne when I was a kid. I hope your bread experiences will be equally wonderful.
