Where is SLU's aviation college? I thought they had a relationship with the Downtown Airport. The airpark's website says they originally began with plans for a flight school.

There's a bunch of stuff over there I don't know much about, like this, http://www.airandspacemuseum.org/

The class rooms are on SLU's campus, next to the education buildings (basically in front of the soccer practice field) on E. Lindell. They have a plane out front. They do have students fly out of Downtown Airport...

As cool as I think this could be, it still seems rather "pie in the sky"...

Then again, they did just update the website, with more renderings and a rehyped business plan...

Say the China Hub deal comes to pass. Following an agreement, the StL Metro Area could very well be seen as a major center for international trade and logistics, and with many companies (domestic and foreign) looking to set up operations in the area, not just manufacturers but professional service companies as well. If the Metro Area is soon to be attracting viable business interests from a more global positioning, could this project as well be freshly viable for new US Operations bases?

^ Right. It's just one of those things that could/will take off if/when a couple companies sign on. Highly doubtful it will happen as depicted, but we can hope. Having something like that so near downtown would have to be good for the city.

I guess its safe to say that this is officially dead (they don't even have a website anymore).

^I think we all knew this was more fantasy that realistic. I could see SLU invest more in the airport in the future, but that's really it.
