Just a quick update, the building has been completely gutted, some condos are completed in the west wing. The whole building appears to be framed and 90% of the new windows have been installed. There are workers there every morning but I'm not sure if they are planning to finish the entire project or just showing more signs of progress. I have heard they sold a few but I, personally, would be cautious buying into a building with only a 1/3 of the condos completed. I hope they finish it and get them sold. When I moved into the neighborhood 7 years ago, this building was an eyesore in the worst way. Now it is a fantastic entrance to our neighborhood. By the way, we have another restaurant opening in March called Josephine's which which will serve comfort food. It will be located at Lawrence and Shaw.

It is simply amazing how much progress has been made here in the last 5 years.

I just don't know how they are going to sell these things though. Financing condos is nearly impossible right now. And with FHA, which a good chunk of owner-occupants are using right now, it really is impossible. I hope they have financing prearranged.

I heard the developer has 16 units (about 2/3 of the units) under contract and has three units occupied already. The developers are working on completing the remaining units and recently paved the parking lot. A new, beautiful fence is currently being installed.

This is a high profile project for our neighborhood and I'm excited that it is close to completion and the developer appears to be successful.

Nice. If 2/3rds are under contract then there's no reason the project shouldn't be completed without delay. Of course that doesn't mean that it WILL be completed quickly. By the way, I think this is a great project for the area as it adds some housing diversity to all the single-family and duplex buildings.

That is a great looking building, and a very good spot. Tried to get in to their regular Sunday open house a few times, but they never seem to actually be there. Glad to hear they're selling regardless, though.
