Feelin' kinda "meh."
Habitat said that the rendering was wrong and that the setback would be the same as the existing buildings. The panels on the front are Nichiha panels and the siding on the rear is concrete siding, presumably also from Nichiha.Matt Drops The H wrote:I like them, actually...especially the flounder. I prefer no brick if the brick is to look cheap anyway. What is the material in the rendering, though? Is that final? Not saying it looks bad...just curious. Reestablishing the street walls on these blocks is definitely a worthy cause!

Even if you're not wildly crazy about the design, it sure beats vinyl siding and/or a suburban style.

Just got a letter yesterday informing me that my parish is volunteering to build one of the ONSL Habitat homes. Very cool.
Construction on the Habitat homes started last week. 6 foundations holes have been excavated and it looks like the precast foundation system will start going in today. I am going to get some pics today and will start a new thread for this project.
Matt,
From the rendering you posted earlier, will the Habitat homes be the flounders, the small shotguns, or a mix?
