So if someone i knew had ownership of what remains of a late nineteenth century log cabin at risk of deteriorating who would i contact in order to possibly find a good home for it to preserve it. I'm sure the hand hewn logs would be worth something but i'd hate to see something "parted out" which has historical significance. Suffice it to say this is a possibility.

^ Just a guess, but I'd expect it to be salvage material. The challenge is finding someone to put up the $ to save it (and they likely will make no money from it). City Museum moved an authentic log cabin to use of their bar - maybe they need another?
