I have just heard froma friend that Locust from 14th on west will be a two way street as of today. Can anyone confirm for me?

That would be good seeing as I thought this street was two way for the longest time when I first started going downtown and frequently drove up it the wrong way.

I work at The National System at 2300 Locust. They emailed the company today to warn us that it was now a 2-way street. I wonder if this will be 2 way all the way west?

I live on Locust and yes, it is now a 2-way street from 14th heading west. Tripped me out but think it was needed. I can't tell you how many times I see people driving the wrong way. Plus this will help any potential retail coming to this area.
14th hu, well I will only say that I wonder how many people will still head farther going the wrong way.
This is good news, my cousin lives in the Printers lofts, and it'll make my trip to her place easier, since I won't have to go around, and I can park on the south side of the street across from the building.
Yeah.

East of Tucker, Locust and Olive act as a couplet of one-way streets. But west of Tucker, Locust was an oddball one-way westbound street, running parallel to otherwise two-way streets like Olive/Lindell and Washington. With the change, Pine Street west of 20th (where no longer a couplet with Chestnut) is now the oddball.
But you may wonder why the transition from two-way to one-way now occurs on Locust at 14th instead of at Tucker (like Olive). I really don't know for sure, but I imagine City Streets didn't want to mess with the traffic signals on Tucker, which carries a lot of traffic and has lights virtually every block.
