Hey folks,
I don't know if it is the effect of the economy over the last year, but we have not received very many submissions for the Most Enhanced Awards this spring. For those of you who don't know, Landmarks Association gives these awards out annually to honor excellence in the rehabilitation of historic buildings around the city and region. If you all know of any great rehabs that were completed in 2010, please pass on this information, or simply let me know through posts and I will follow up. More information available at the following link. Also, the submission deadline is April 8. Thanks

Hi! I would nominate the condo development, magnolia condominiums located at magnolia and Thurman in Shaw. Kyle Miller is the developer. Just let me know how to submit it. Thanks

Sean,
I actually called the real estate agent for that place this morning and left a message. It is a great project and worthy of a nomination. If you want to go ahead and submit, the forms are on our website at the link I posted above. Thanks

This place is a must. Grove Properties and Austin Barzantny are doing great work. This building in particular has a long and sordid history and it took a lot of hard work to even get possession of it. It's now been sold (I happened to meet the very happy owner the other day).

Alex, what is the address and how can I get in touch with the right people? You can P.M. me, or use the email for Andrew that you used for the open/closed correspondence.

Thanks

I also agree with Alex on the arc property. I walked it after completion and it is fantastic.

I'm out of the office today but I'll follow up the paperwork for the mag condos tomorrow.

Lots of good ones this year.  Not sure if anyone has been following Landmark's Facebook posts but here are a few standouts.  This one on Maple is breathtaking:

Lots of great projects completed over the past couple of years. They have several additional noteworthy projects featured on their website (sans additional hi-res photos). City Foundry, Hotel Indigo, and Post Dispatch, to name a few.
