I have been there twice, once for lunch on a Saturday and the other time a Sunday morning. The Saturday visit took over 60 minutes to be served my hamburger and there were no more than 2 other tables in the place. The Sunday morning was just as bad, only one other table was seated and it took even longer (making us late to church). I really want this place to succeed however it will be awhile before I visit again. On the other had it looks like the other new restaurant across the street, Riverside Diner is close to opening, perhaps competition will get the Ivory Bistro into shape. The area is starting to pop with the extended run of the Patsy Cline show at the Ivory theater across the street packing in the crowds.

I just ate here today... and while I am not one to bash a restaurant as I know the business well, there are somethings that are just not cool and overall I don't think I'll be going back for a while either. First of all I was just told to sit anywhere, not knowing the whole front was a smoking section and I can't stand eating while someone is smoking next to me which happened the entire time I was there. Service was horrible, at one point in time my server came to the table while she was on the phone, and the second time she came with a baby in her arms!! Food was OK, but nothing special and it took way too long, and then she even forgot my salad.

The place looks nice and I live in the area so I hope it comes around but looks can be deceiving; they need a lot of work here still.

I don't care what anyone says,They deserve a chance just like anyone else in business,I think they are doing pretty good,,,It seems they are picking up on speed as of late and as far as that place across the street ,I don't see them being any better there than they were when they were on Broadway. They were never open when you want to go.But i'm not knocking them till i give em a chance.and as far as not being busy,They are always packed when we go

Is the Riverside Diner the same one that is currently down on South Broadway near Loughborough? Are they moving or is it just a common name?

The Riverside Diner is moving from Broadway, the owners live just around the corner from the new location.
