Some positive Hyde Park happenings:

Rehabs north of the park on Bremen are in full swing.
The new habitat home on Mallinckrodt is under construction. (Framing is up to the first floor).
Stabilization on commercial corner buildings have been completed or are underway.
A Prop NS purchase on Destrehan is undergoing an addition.
Gateway Global just opened in the Holy Trinity school building.
The Bee-centric sanctuary, mixed-use project on Salisbury is now moving into site development. Vacant parcels are getting a makeover.

I know I say this every time we loose one of these, but this is an absolute heartbreaker - I was inside of this one about 12 years ago and it was in perfect shape at that time. Buildings like this are one of the strengths of this city and we just keep letting them go

This would be the third large brick church we would lose in a small area in just the last 2 years - Liborius, Augustines, and now this one. And we know countless others we have lost before that. Do we not learn? Secure these architectural gems. I am so disappointed by the fires we have to our historical buildings

North riverfront, Old North, St. Louis Place and Hyde Park have lost so much to fires. How can we not control this

In the last week, the amount of “vacant” and “abandoned” buildings go up in flames sure makes it seem they were occupied. We have to do better
