I thought this would be a fun “game” for everyone to post a picture of their favorite StL house for each architectural style. Some may have many and others will be quite the game of hide and seek.

Missing the American Foursquare which the predominant housing style in St. Louis pre-war housing in a lot of neighborhoods (notably around Tower Grove and many areas of North St. Louis).

All red brick and red stone Romanesque beauties that you see around West End, Lafayette Sq, Compton Heights and scattered throughout some other parts of the city are my absolute favorite. The red brick columns might be my favorite singular St. Louis architectural feature out there.

Romanesque for me too.  Maybe Italianate a very close 2nd.  I feel like the few houses in STL that I LOVE are a combo of those styles.
