This may not mean much to you city folk, but Benton, Illinois my hometown about 90 miles southeast of St Louis is where, for some reason, George Harrison's (of the Beatles) sister lives.
Her move to Benton preceeded Beatles fame, and in his first visit to the states, George stayed at 113 McCann Street, right across the street from my high school. It was set for the wrecking ball so the state could lay out a new parking lot (sound familiar) for its state facility nearby.
