Searched all over for anyone who knew anything about this and found nothing. The other day I drove by and it was business as usual. Then drove by yesterday and the entire site had been flattened. I have to assume a new one is going in it's place, but anyone have any info?
According to assessor website. Does a new Taco Bell cost $750k? That's a big taco!

Wow - well, that is interesting.. Thanks for the quick reply. To be honest, I would have no idea if 750k was high for a new Taco Bell, but I guess so?
-Also just noticed that I follow you on Twitter, ha.

It surprised me as well. I eat at Taco Bell twice a year, and yesterday was going to be one of those days. I drove up, it was gone. It was my Alderaan moment.
Its a new store, a little larger than the old one, but nothing dramatically different. Its a corporate owned store, they "update" them periodically.

Same thing happened to the Taco Bell on Kingshighway across from Uncle Bills. Torn down nearly overnight, replacement has gone up quickly and looks nearly done.

Yeah, I might eat at T-Bell maybe 3x a year, but was just curious since we're so used to seeing it there.

This is my favorite post on this board in some time.JNOnSTL wrote:It surprised me as well. I eat at Taco Bell twice a year, and yesterday was going to be one of those days. I drove up, it was gone. It was my Alderaan moment.
"No! Taco Bell is peaceful. They have no weapons. You can't possibly..."

I didn't even realize there was a Taco Bell here. With the location on Manchester as well, Dogtowners are very well-served by Taco Bell.

I always forget about the one on Manchester. One day a couple years ago the one on Hampton (get this) ran out of BEEF, so I remembered the one down there on Manchester and moved on. Pulled up and couldn't even tell if it was open it was so quiet there. They practically seemed happily surprised to have visitors.wheelfru wrote:I didn't even realize there was a Taco Bell here.
