The argument is an easy one to make for Joe Edwards, owner of Blueberry Hill, where Berry still performs each month in a venue — the Duck Room — named for his trademark gait.



I thought I heard the Duck Room actually got its name because before the floor was dug out you used to literally have to 'duck' your head when you went down there.

It wasn't called the Duck Room back then. It was called Cicero's and I had to duck but those under 6 feet tall didn't.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's named after the Chuck Berry guitar strut.

No. Don't pretend you are too young to remember the old Cicero's days.

Yes. The part of BBH that sits at Delmar and Melville was Cicero's. And The Duck Room is the Basement Bar excavated about 6 to 8 feet down.

The Elvis Room is, or was anyway, the basement music venue at BBH.
