Glad this could be saved. Grand Center and Midtown Alley needs more dense housing in a bad way to support these businesses though

Yes, some modern townhouse and flats would really do a lot for this area. I would love to see the area between Jefferson and Grand become a rowhouse neighborhood again.

Would be fine with this, would also love to see it be a mini version of Chicago's Fulton Market area with some nice high rises.

3221 is wrapped now so I didn't notice the paint job. Around the corner the BP is demolished.... hopefully to be replaced with something nice.

Anyone know what the ugliness is that is going up in Grand Center at the corner of N Spring and Grandel Square? The parcel is owned by Grand Center, Inc. but I think it was used as a parking lot for the VA, so it may be for them. If it's a permanent structure it really will need some heavy screening.

Probably some temporary space for the VA so they can start their renovations.

Just guessing, though.

^ Your guess makes a lot of sense to me.   A lot of modular, trailable structures with their own heat/ac unit stacked together that will probably come apart just as quick as it came together

Amazing how endemic car dependency creates unpaid lobbyists for the auto industry, oil companies, and the highwaymen.
