Here was Gaslight Square in 2002. I didn't realize it had survived past the creation of the MO HTCs. Really stinks that they didn't get rehabbed.

The small commercial building at 3910-12 Olive has been demoed. Not sure if there's anything in line to replace it. SLU listed as owner.

SLU purchased the property two years ago. Not sure their plans. The building won't be missed.

guess i'd be indifferent if it was someone other than SLU doing the demo. They don't have the best record for speedily returning properties to productive use.

It's in a weird location too - surrounded by McCormack Baron vinyl stuff.

^Yeah, the building's setback no longer matches its neighbors. I can't imagine SLU buying and bulldozing in that location without any plans for the site, though. It seems like an odd move to me. But what would they build on a site that size and at that location?

I really have no idea. It's outside of the campus footprint (which I realize is fairly nebulous) and too far from any other SLU buildings to be useful as a parking lot. Maybe they just plan on turning around and selling it.

There's a construction fence up on the northeast corner of Olive and Boyle (BSI Constructors). Anyone know what's up?
