Does anyone know what's going into the old Goodwill location at the corner of Morganford and Carondelet? They've been doing a bunch of work, including new front windows and new curbs in the parking lot, but no indication of what the tenant might be.

I believe they are moving the plumbing supply place across from QT on Gravois/Loughborough to that location.

Dollar Tree's open now, and judging by the number of cars on the lot, it seems to be off to a booming start.

For whatever that's worth.

From the 12th Ward Update thread

· The Old Goodwill Store @ Morganford & Carondelet: As you can see. “Dollar Tree” has moved in and is now open for business. They occupy nearly 2/3 of the building with the remainder occupied by “Plumbers Supply”.

Nice to be vindicated, I thought I wasn't crazy(see above post by me) 8)

I'm soooo glad to learn that the old Goodwill store has reopened as a Dollar Tree. Because that's the one area in which the South Side is sorely lacking: dollar stores! :hyper:
