What's this about? "Safety" improvements?
Metro's always on a mission to make Metrolink as inconvenient as possible in the name safety. If there's no riders, there can't be any crime!
It's been a while, but I thought they had previously put a bunch of bike-rack style barriers all around the upstairs portion at that station to make you walk in a certain way to enter/exit, kind of a preview of the secure platform deal.

Can you put a number to increased? In my experience the past 2 years loitering in this area is very normal. It does seem like it’s increased in recent months (hopefully because more people are using the transit).
It’s been mostly unproblematic, though there has been more garbage around and there have been a handful of disturbances recently.

I would say anywhere from 10 to 15 folks who are occasionally loitering near 01 bus stop on Pershing. I am not concerned about 90 bus stop and metrolink because they are genuine transit riders. I am concerned about the other group that loiters around 01 bus stop and those handful of disturbances are from that location recently.
