More than doubling racing days and expanding entertainment will be great. I think this could lead to some hotel development nearby. Definitely great for Downtown hotels.

Fairmount will rename itself to FanDuel Sportsbook and Horse Racing.

Add this to the list of things St. Louisans will refuse to call by its official name.

That's a mouthful.

I just refer to it as the Horse Track

^^Duly added, sc4mayor. Duly added. FanDuel? I'm picturing a fight using folding paper fans. Ideally fancy Asian ones. Jeepers that's a dumb name. On the other hand . . . I suppose the ponies need to get their income somewhere, so if it's from dueling fans, then more power to 'em. They're probably on borrowed time no matter how sweet the naming rights cash.

Something tells me that Spanish women with their fancy abanicos would be the prohibitive favorite in any such duel.

Yeah as a big fan of horse racing I'd like to see Fairmount thrive and find new sources of income...if a naming rights deal is it...then so be it.  Too bad they couldn't name it like the "FanDuel Track at Fairmount Park" or something like that.  Not that it's going to make much of a difference to us St. Louisans anyway lol.
