I've noticed the empty lot on Hampton and Wise for years. I believe the last building on the lot was a BBQ joint, that lasted a short time. Does anyone know who owns this lot and what if anything, the owner plans to do with it? This would seem to be a prime spot for development, retail, restaurant, Starbucks or fast food type development. I know I have low expectations for the site, but anything is better than a vacant lot, gas station excluded.

RIP Smokin Al's BBQ

Anyone know what happened to Smokin Al's?

Why did this place go under? Seems like they had a following. I only went there a few times, but don't recall it being any better than the average Knights of Columbus or Lion's Club fundraiser BBQ.

I believe the ground is owned by Imos.
