hi am thinking of moving to this apartment complex this month the place i stay at now has rat/mice and they landlord is not really being proactive about it. they just put down traps and poison i have told them i was going to stay for another six months but that was before the mic/rat issue and i haven't sign the lease they have sent me for this reason. so i need to know if this place is a good place to stay? do they handle maintenance request good ? has anyone had any pest roaches, mic, rats, ant issue while staying here? and do they handle short lease like a six months lease and my only source of income right now i am using unemployment insurance am actively looking for employment. the place i live in now is 550 but i pay a little of 80 bucks in gas and electric. i am hoping to take my mothers cats and my place charges for that. i know this place doesn't have a deposit for cats and dogs or a monthly fee i don't know if that is true. well if anyone has any info on this place please feel free to email me joshu23@gmail.com.
Yesterday, I passed by the Ellsworth, at West Pine & Newstead, and I was annoyed to see that this classic building has apparently been renamed "The Rafael". How completely stupid and pointless. The Ellsworth is one of the most storied addresses in the CWE-- kind of like St. Louis's version of the Chelsea Hotel. Throughout the building's history, it has been a magnet for counter-culture and diversity. And one interesting tidbit-- at least up until very recently, its storefronts have been continuously occupied by the same cross-section of businesses as it had when the building originally opened: a neighborhood market, a dry cleaners, a barbershop/salon, a cafe, and a pharmacy/apothecary. Rebranding a building with such a strong presence and identity is insulting and superfluous. Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Change it back.
