Hopefully a new ownership group who gives a sh*t about running a restaurant for more than just Cards games can purchase. They would close at random times. And were not 24 hours even on the weekends. They basically played kitchen with a St. Louis icon and failed.
I’m really mixed about this. The Eat Rite is an icon that should be a St. Louis treasure. And I want it to be. I ate there once in the 90’s when I worked at Purina. Between the the sh*tty service, and ‘elementary school lunch hamburgers’ and a lunch hour that lasted 90 minutes, I’m not surprised it’s closed. One and done and never went back. And this goes for every restaurant closure I read about. If I’ve been there and read its closed, 99 to 100% of the time, I’m not surprised.*
