Couldn't seem to find a select thread for this, but if there is one, feel free to move this discussion to the existing one! I am interested in artistic depictions of St. Louis through quick sketches drawn up by anywhere from amateur artists to world-renowned architects. I came across an old Next STL post, which showed drawings of St. Louis from the hand of Peter Rush, an Australian Architect. Hopefully, these drawings kickstart this thread. Feel free to share your sketches of STL below, I, as well as other people I'm sure, would enjoy seeing them!

I recently bought Andrew Wanko's new book Great River City (published by the MO Historical Society). It includes several sketches made in 1818 by a woman named Anna Maria von Phul. They're considered to be some of the earliest images of St. Louis. Here are a few:

General views:

An old French-style house:

The cave that is now underneath the pond in Benton Park:

And my favorite; a view of Bloody Island from the top of Big Mound:

This is a quick sketch of BPV completely built out. It's far from perfect (I kind of messed up the proportions among other things), but I thought it might interest some of you!
