I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on UrbanStl. I was looking at Hilton Family hotels in St. Louis on the Hilton web site, and was surprised to see that a Doubletree Hotel is opening in Collinsville March 2009.



Was this an existing hotel that switched to Doubletree? It is at the Gateway Convention Center.

It was announced on KMOX about 2-3 months ago on Charlie Brennans show.



Its the old Hilton? next to the state highway patrol building on the west side of Collinsville. Being renovated now.



This things been a money loser for years. The stae was involved with bailing out the old owners.

It is the old Holiday Inn.



The old ownership was really good at fuzzy math.



Porter's Steakhouse is being renovated along w/ the hotel. The entire property was in dire need of having some money put back into it.
