Definitely better than sitting empty.

And I'd wager they'll keep up with their landscaping unlike Walgreens... I think its a big win for the growing 'younger' neighborhoods.

Thanking the development-gods its not a gas station.

It's definitely better than sitting empty.

Meanwhile, the Modern Kitchen building and empty lot next door have Garcia Properties 'For Sale' signs up.

Might something be happening over there?

I know Dave Bailey's is doing something at the corner, hopefully something pops up on those empty lots soon too!

Yep -- that's the old tax building.

A Bailey restaurant going there would be a huge win for the area and for Tower Grove South. Exciting stuff.

I hope something happens with the vacant lots, and perhaps with the Modern Kitching building as well -- though I thought that building was recently remodeled.

I don't understand how they can keep opening restaurants, though.  Do they do that good of business? I haven't been to Small Batch in a while.  Rooster on Grand cut hours.  Pop and the old concept were closed for a very long time.  Anyone else?

I saw Dave give a talk once and he talked a lot about how they use their multiple restaurants to flex staff if/when needed. Its been a long time since that talk, but I also remember him talking about the restaurant business' turnover and how they don't spend much time deciding to sunset when things aren't profitable.

I would wager both Roosters are cash cows though... especially on the weekends.

The new Bailey's Range in the Shaw neighborhood seems to be doing good business as well.

Bridge and Range downtown are usually pretty damn good, and busy.

Anyone know what's going on in the southeast corner here? There've been some construction crews that seem to be renovating the building.
