Somewhere on some forum it was mentioned that their awnings need to be power washed. I thought this was rather picky until I drove by today. The awnings are covered in bird sH*t and its really gross, especially for a restaurant to be so dirty at the front door.

What they need to think about is how to prevent the bird crap from accumulating like that. The best way is to get some plastic owls and put them where the pigeons are sitting.

Not sure what the specific problem is at Copia... but there are things like this that you will see installed on ledges all over downtown...

I wonder if they realize people are talking about them. I hope they find a way to prevent the problem and clean it up.

Pics would make a great advertisement for the awning maker...proof that the awnings are doing their job.

The problem could be the result of a fight between Copio and the owner of the building (assuming they rent the space). The owner may not want to go to the expense and trouble of solving the problem. Copio could spray 'em down though in the mean time.

I went to Copia on Friday night with my family while we were walking down Washington. They brought us warm bread as well as olive oil that had some herbs mixed in. I had the Grilled Chicken Lasagna. That was absolutely amazing. I could have done without the Seafood Gumbo Soup though.

Jax,

That's good to know. I was hoping they would fix their little error. I don't know if it was just our table, but I felt that we needed bread.

The former Copia/Reign has applied for tax credits - Probably getting a much needed renovation

I always thought it would a make a good microbrewery or beer hall/beirgarten -

Loopnet listing for Copia space with renderings

Probably going to sit for a while considering Wash Ave alone has seven other vacant restaurant/bar spaces waiting for new concepts
