Closing on Jan. 3rd. And an EDM club will be going into the old Dante's space.
It'll be interesting to see what goes into the Plush building next... a great building and great location; apparently there were lofts on the top floors before the Plush re-do,

^ That's correct. It was originally built as luxury lofts 5-6 years ago, which is probably about 10 years too early for the neighborhood.

As Plush it always seems to be way too much building for the uses. Some of the lofts were available for parties, events, receptions, etc but every-time I was there for anything it felt way too uncoordinated. You had people eating dinner on one side of the main floor, while there was a raucous bar crowd in the middle then a live music show on the other side of the main floor. Meanwhile lines for the elevators to parties upstairs were backed up into the bar & dining room and it always felt chaotic.

I'd guess the converse was when it wasn't a busy night it probably felt cavernously empty.

I think the current owner got it for a great price out of foreclosure, but the day to day of trying to do so many things under one roof is probably a short fuse enterprise and they are probably ready to sell for a little profit.

Now, I'd think the timing is now much better for the lofts to be viable, possibly as student rentals, with commercial use on the main floor. So I doubt the building goes dark.

Good call: that's how I felt. Could easily see the first floor being divided up.

Apparently this is set for a restaurant and catering operation, per stl magazine.
