The Preservation Board will consider this proposal on Monday for 3228 Copelin which is a trapezoid-shaped parcel rendered as such by the highway's destruction of the area. CRO staff recommends withholding preliminary approval.

A previous owner proposed this in 2021

This was the proposal back in August 2021 for this lot (per the  Preservation Board agenda from then):

We should find out this month if this is a new proposal or if it's meant to revive this design.

Thanks for merging the thread, mods...I forgot that there was also a proposal in 2024 (see the post above mine).

Interstates truly stink. It’s a shame that you can’t wander over to neighborhoods like Compton Heights, Soulard and Lafayette Square from downtown. We really have such gem historic neighborhoods that people visiting don’t even see

If it is that white monstrosity, probably a no. Is it that hard to use the brick and stone see throughout the rest of the neighborhood?

The final  Preservation Board agenda has been posted. Here's the latest proposal for the vacant lot at 3228 Copelin:

Approval was recommended by Cultural Resources staff. The link above has more renderings/angles of the proposed home if you're interested.

That infill at 1411 Dolman sure is strange. How could construction have progressed that far without anyone saying anything? Looks like they were trying to change the window design as well.
