Not sure if any images of this model have been posted (pic found on Social Media)

I have a picture of it somewhere prior to the residential building showing up. It's interesting that the office building massing is still shown in this updated model. Maybe that means we'll still get it in a later phase. I also think it's telling just how much taller that building would be than the phase 2 apartment building (Vande East).
Thanks for sharing Framer

You could only hope that Cortex East comes to be at that scale but assume that is literally a major anchor tenant commitment.   Especially if Crawler gets back underway with some more infill with CORTEX itself.   In the meantime, Foundry breaking ground on next residential phase/office, the trestle going in place and possible Armory next phase will be that many more people nearby to partake of the food hall.   I will also say it again, the hideous parking garage along FPP becomes prime for redevelopment

I should point out that the model was built by Silver Wing Studios of St. Louis.

I'll be working in the Food Hall at City Foundry.
So, when are you opening your schnitzel stall?

St. Louis could use a good, fast, late-night, schnitzel stand like the sidewalk stands they have in Vienna.  You could have breakfast schnitzel, schnitzel sandwiches, potato schnitzel, schnitzel poppers with a variety of fruit and cheese sauces...so many possibilities...

And I even have a suggestion for the name if you want to hear it...  😁
Or some currywurst.  mmmmmmm......

Imagine how pissed steve smith must be, 5 years of work and opens as Delta variant explodes. I don’t think you see City mandates closures but people aren’t stupid, they’ll stay away from indoor places

Looks like someone doesn't respect wood.

I'll give this a week or so to start gelling, but looking forward to checking this out in person.  Thanks for the updates and pics.

Don't you mean Thymeline?  😁  It'll open in November, according to Google, but there's no official opening date yet.

During my brief walk-through a couple weeks ago, they were still roughing-in partitions and doing MEP work, and no equipment had been installed yet.  It looks like a few months worth of construction work and equipment installation, plus all the interior furniture/signage/decoration, stocking, training, etc.  Thanksgiving would really be pushing it, so my guess is they'll open around mid-December.

Opening night report.

Place was packed for dinner time. All stalls sold out with the exception of Press Waffle. Tonight exceeded all expectations.

I took this back in 2016. If you want any pre construction images of any particular space, i'm sure i'll have it. I know and have every inch of this place photographed.

4+ years of my life spent on this project. I hope people enjoy it, or hate it. Cant make everyone happy! Just know everything was done for a reason.

I like how the sun is making spotlights in this photo. The space looked dingy and dangerous before.

Is there any outdoor seating available for the Food hall? I’m still not too crazy about eating inside.

I went last night and was surprised by how many people were there. When my wife and I arrived, there wasn't a single line that wasn't 15-20 customers or deeper.

That is my one hope.  Wasn't there a terrace or something?

No outdoor seating yet. Hopefully soon though. The space needs more seating. Fassler Hall will have the outdoor Biergarten on the roof overlooking Foundry Way.

I saw that in the press release.  They said outdoor seating will come sometime in September...but why on Earth would they not have outdoor seating installed yet?  No time to prepare...?  Or do they just not have enough staff to clean and secure the outdoor space?

Probably the latter, but they'll of course never acknowledge that publicly...

They changed the Food Hall hours on the Foundry website already, from:

MONDAY - FRIDAY
7AM - 10:30PM
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
8AM - 11:30PM

to:

MONDAY - THURSDAY
8AM - 9:00PM
FRIDAY
8AM - 10:00PM
SATURDAY
9AM - 10:00PM
SUNDAY
9AM - 7:00PM

Wow, bummer.  It's already being sterilized of nighttime activity.  Maybe it's due to Covid.  Who knows.  How the hell do they have Sundays closing earlier than Mondays?

That’s been a theme at malls. I guess the idea is close early on Sundays because people are less likely to be out later because they go back to work on Monday.

Don't full-time folks have to work Monday through Friday as well? This isn't the 50s where the whole family is chained to a dinner table is all... anyways.. hope the hours go later once covid dies down.  I personally don't go to restaurants unless I know I have at least an hour and a half before they officially close.. so I guess I won't really be going for 'dinner' on Sundays.  Not that just one person really matters that much I guess.

Outdoor seating was available tonight. I didn't get to see it in action because of how busy we were, but I assume this area was full of people too.

PostAug 14, 2021#1375

Another sell-out night tonight. Hundreds of people came through over a 3.5 hour period. 8 of the 11 stalls, with the exception of Press Waffle, Poptimism, and the Kitchen Bar, sold out.
