Has anyone ever given any thought to having a "Circulator" bus concept that would benefit tourists and residents? I think it would be a great idea. Fresh modern buses with wifi, clean, and easy admission of $1. I picture a clockwise and counterclockwise route with limited stops mainly at "Big" points of interest. This eliminates having to worry about complex connections when trying to get between popular neighborhood/attractions for everybody, and can be used to enhance the current commute for those already relying on public transit.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion of where the stops should be - But here's what I envision. Starting at Midtown Grand/Lindell, in front of the midtown plaza, Lindell/Euclid, DeBalievre/Lindell, The Zoo, Dogtown, Grove West, Grove East, North Part of S. Grand, S Part of S. Grand, Bud Brewery, Soulard, Lafayette Square, Arch/Courthouse, Busch Stadium, Wash Ave, and back towards midtown with of course a few filler stops in between.

If you had one in each direction that would open up a lot more options. Maybe have some nice covered waiting areas or signage.

Thoughts?

Would be nice, but who's going to pay for it? Metro can barely keep a Forest Park circulator going in the summer at 20-minute headways. This plan sounds like it needs new vehicles and infrastructure in addition to drivers.

Maybe it would work in the summer on weekends, but I don't see the commuter crowd going for a such a serpentine route.

I'd avoid linking together a bunch of locations that are already connected by MetroLink, that's just too much redundant ground to cover for a new bus. I would agree that there could be a better transit solution to southerly locations like the brewery, Soulard, Lafeyette Park etc.
