The windows are removed and heavy equipment is on site of the Chippewa IHOP just west of Hampton. Looks like a demo. Those A-frame IHOPs are going the way of the dodo bird.

It closed last fall, i pretty much figured its days were numbered. I had breakfest there last spring, loved how small it was, and the fact that it came all the way up to Chippewa.

Something is being built with what looks like a drive through. That or a gas station. I really hope it isn't yet another gas station that I have to boycott.

I saw them digging pretty deep a while back, so I'd imagine it's a gas station. Strange thing since there was an abandoned BP a block away that was torn down, remediated, and turned into a Jimmy John's and a barber shop.

Well that is thoroughly underwhelming. Thanks for the information.

I wonder if they'll remove the curb cut since they already have one next door. I somehow doubt it.

Not all of them! I just happened to drive by this church today on Watson. No question what it used to be.

^In their defense, they're just expanding next door (Commerce has a branch and wants drive through ATMs). No net increase of bank branch locations. :-)

^ You know what's crazy? I actually forgot that Commerce was already there. It shows how much attention I pay to banks. Besides, I'm a loyal credit union guy. And mine (American Eagle) is going to build on the Garavelli's site down the street. (I'd be a bit more excited about that if they weren't going to leave behind a facility on Hampton Avenue.)

I miss those old A-frame IHOPs. Now they look like everything else.
