The Board of Adjustment reviewed an application for a new restaurant on the former Region's Bank site at Hampton and Pernod at the June 17th meeting. I believe it advanced.

APPEAL #11378 – Appeal filed by Austin Craddock, from the determination of the Building Commissioner in the denial of a building permit authorizing the Appellant to construct commercial building per plans for sit- down/carry-out restaurant with drive-thru and patio seating (zoning only), at 3547 Hampton Ave.

After contacting Alderman Vacarro, he told me it will be a Chipotle.

Construction fencing is now around the old Region's Bank. Demolition permits were issued on November 10th.

Took a pic of the Chipotle on Hampton yesterday, exterior is complete and they are finishing the interior, should be seeing it open in the near future.

Happy to see there is outdoor patio seating, will be a nice street facing patio.

Does it have a drive-through? I haven't driven by since before they finished the framing and can't recall seeing anything indicating such. A quick Google search seems to suggest that some Chipotle locations are adding those. Given its location on Hampton, I feel like a drive-through would not be out of place.

^ I think there is a driveway on the back side, I'll take a closer look next time I go by.
