The place is ready to go. They're waiting for a license. Should be opening within the next couple of weeks.

Loves it!

I am greatly against the trampling of non-smokers rights by smokers in public places...A cigar bar is different in that it caters to tabacco users exclusively, right? I'm looking forward to this place when I get home...

"Open Soon" sign in windows and they were installing a neon sign on the corner at 11th this afternoon. Sign looks good AND Prime 1000 on the other side of the building has a hearing on an illuminated sign coming up as well. Two new illuminated signs on Washington ads some nice life.

^ I did and it's actually a very nice space. They built it from scratch and did a very nice job. The number one requirement to enjoy this place though, is you HAVE to like cigars or at the least not be bothered by cigar smoke. It is a very comfortable space but you will smell like smoke when you leave.

Looks like the smoke has affected tenants of a couple apartments upstairs...

Ouch. Well I would think it is coming from the baseboards. We had a smoker living below us. Ripped up the baseboards, used some GE Silicon and it solved the problem. I wonder what the Merchandise Mart has tried to do?

Making my way back to the Stan after 17 days of R&R on a beach in Samoa...So I've been outta the loop...(Yes, the island nation of Samoa is way better than Afghanistan...)

But that sign rocks...I'm a wedding, childbirth, promotion, championship night cigar smoker so I can't wait to check it out...I hope they get any issues with upstairs residents worked out right...

Word on the street is that Stanely's has upgraded the ventilation system and worked it out with the family. That incident on the news proved to be a BOON to business. What's the cliche about publicity?

It is still very smoky in there! I don't mind smoke but when you can't see across the room. Not good....
