Wow, looks like a great town. I've only been to Champaign once when my high school team went to state...when I was like 10.

I absolutely adore the Big 10 college towns. One of the real unique aspects of America. Liberal, urban enclaves in manufacturing states. When I was in Bloomington, IN you could literally get food from the four corners of the earth - all in old Victorian houses refurbished as eating establishments.

I've never been to Champaign. Think I need to check it out sometime along with Bloomington, IN.



Madison, WI is another cool midwestern college town. And despite my hatred of all things Jayhawk I enjoy a trip to Lawrence, KS now and then.
