Really a big shame... this stretch of Olive will be especially forlorn now even though there is some positive momentum nearby on Locust (such as the Salvation Army Vets Housing -very sweet design - and Small Batch). I'm not sure if Harris-Stowe owns the long barren strip across the street, but hopefully that will be developed before too long... streetcar would be a big help.

That's my understanding as well. I mean that Sigma Aldrich owns that property. Not sure why.

Yes. According to city records, the south side of the block between Garrison and Ewing is owned by Sigma. That's everything beteeen SLU and the retirement high rise by Wells Fargo.
