Does anyone know if this project is actually likely to move forward or is it just a pipe dream?

The company wont allow any images or content to be re-posted, so I have included the link below to the development site.

I'd be all for something like this on this site, but this seems purely conceptual. Almost anything would be better than what is currently there, and coupled with the Choice Neighborhoods project it would really transform that stretch of N 14th which is also a potential Metrolink corridor someday, maybe, possibly. Regardless of whether it will ever move forward or not, nice find.

I would pay good money to go back in time and walk the streets of St. Louis in say, 1928. Perhaps one day old STL could get a feature in an Assassins Creed game or something similar.

$0 building permit application submitted for int/ext alterations per plans 1218-24 N 15TH ST. Let's hope that means a rehab into a new life is int he works.

It's supposed to be renovated for a new community center with some of the Choice Neighborhoods funding. Hopefully it can still proceed. A chunk of the interior collapsed in the storms a couple weeks ago. Plans may have already taken that condition into account since damage bad enough to collapse should already be pretty obvious.

What is the significance of a $0 permit?

^They're submitting for review to get the process going, but don't have an estimated cost submitted yet. That will be added before any permit is issued.

Now a $0 demo permit application submitted for 1218-24 N 15th, no description. Anyone know what's going on?

Probably related to the partial interior collapse from a storm back on May 25. I was worried demolition could become the fate. I guess we'll have to watch and see.
