It continues to astound me how that stretch of Broadway is not some of the premier real estate in the area. There are amazing views of the river from the bluffs there, and atop it are largely some of the slummiest slum apartments.

On  a recent drive by I noticed that 7121 Broadway St; the French looking strip with the iron balconies has burned again.
That section appears to be barely hanging on

Our city failed S Broadway. The owners have just sat there trying to destroy the properties. Very sad

Even sadder is that it just went through the Private Bldg Stabilization program within the last year, after a previous fire. The city did a lot of work on it, while the owner did nothing. I hope the whole thing doesn't have to be razed now, but I'd be amazed by any other outcome...
