Do with this what you will.

Apparently Joe McCarthy has risen from the grave. I had a long discussion this morning with a city official who informed me that the city along with the police department, have received "numerous" complaints from individuals who do not like our sign, or the name of our business. Apparently they feel as if we are in some way connected to a left wing communist faction, that intends to give the red, white and blue, a black eye. I can't make this stuff up. I now have to go to city hall to defend my sign. The timing is nothing short of predominant. Barbecue, the food of the proletariat. Hurry up and get yours, before the man shuts us down......I have some free time next week, in case any of you malcontents want to come down and stage a protest. Nobody has done that yet.

It's not French.

Red flags go up every time you see "numerous" used as in "numerous complaints." It's a squishy, cop-out word. It's similar to when you read "I have had a bad experience at XYZ multiple times."

Essentially, it means "one" at best.

I think they should change the name to what Red China leaders used to call the US back in the 1960's, namely,

"American Imperialist Aggressors and all their Running Dogs and Lackies Bar-B-Q". I would eat there.

I think Capitalist Pig is a great name and all but I think Gary is on to something.

I couldn't be more of a free-market, pro-capitalism guy, and I LOVE the name.

May I suggest a frontal lobotomy for anyone opposing this restaurant's name.

A barbecue place called The Capitalist Pig, in a police station, in Soulard, in the shadow of A-B. There's something so strange and so perfect about this.

I'm out of town this weekend but will try to go soon. I don't know if this was their intention but it seems like a great way to advertise.
