Well not really lofts or apartments, but 100+ condominiums going for $120,000 - $300,000.

"For St. Louis this means investing resources in renovation rather than taking the easier, cheaper, path of demolition. It means overcoming the tendency toward conservatism."

Yeah, thanks for posting.

The arch comment... I never really thought it was bad for St. Louis... comments?

$120,000... Where'd you get that number? The website says $170,000 and when I toured the agent said $190,000+

I had them saved from somewhere... probably an old newspaper article. I would go with what ever the current price is now. The $120, 000 may have been pre-construction pricing...

Wow! The RFT article is really a blast to read. Its like a time warp. So much has changed in just those few years.

Anyone else notice this was taken down from the highway interchange by Bohemian Hill?

Looks like a new sculpture is going up of a cluster of red beams.

What's happening to the old sculpture? Isn't it by an artist that has many other metal works around town, in Forest Park, etc?

Maybe removal is a good thing. The scale wasn't right---it was too small and that's one of those sculptures you need to walk through and experience. Hopefully it'll reappear in a more accessible area.

FYI - the new sculpture is titlte, "Treemonisha." This was composer Scott Joplin's only opera. An interesting tribute.

Windows are going into one of the other city hospital buildings! Perhaps the Butler's Pantry?

Also, some new access roads are completed. And a foundation of some sort is under construction, possibly a parking lot?

Actually, the one with the windows getting put in is the new Park Avenue Palladium, Butler's Pantry new event space, and a the foundation is for a new building that will be used as a new headquarters for Butler's Pantry.

they're building something on the back lot. Looks like a commercially sized single story building. Pretty big.

It has been relocated to City Garden. Not positive if you'll be able to walk through it (I don't see why you wouldn't). You'll certainly be able to get close to it, rather than just drive by. Needless to say, seems like a much better location for it.
