Nice article in the Post-Dispatch...

This is one of my fave projects of the year. We'll see what comes next for the area but I think there is bound to be more progress.... my preference is to have this become somewhat of a Brooklyn-esque artists area with more bare-bones loft spaces and some unique commercial spaces.

What will become of the Bissinger's factory building, as it sounds like the new owner has no use for it?

^ It sounds like Bissinger's former owner plans on focusing on his hospitality ventures which include the Carmel Room, located at their North Riverfront building.
^ I don't know. I've never been to the Carmel Room, though my sister is supposed to get married there later this year. From what I understand it's a pretty large space with a rooftop deck as well. Not really sure about the layout with regards to manufacturing space, but if the former owner wants to continue the Carmel Room business my guess is that he will continue to own and operate the building. But this is all speculation as I really have no idea what his plans are.
The factory space is massive relative to the Caramel Room. If you look on street view, the Caramel Room is only the 3rd floor, which is 1/5th of the size of the first two floors. So 1/11th of the building lol.
The factory space really has been designed, for, well, manufacturing. I'm not sure what else it could be repurposed for other than another food manufacturer. I'm not sure what regional food and beverage manufacturer could go in there. Or how it could ever be ever repurposed at a reasonable price..
