I am looking for a good place to have a nice plate of chicken wings that are cheap other than Culpepper's. Particularly places that have specials on wings. Any places worth checking out?

I love Milo's down on the Hill. On Monday nights during NFL season, they have $.10 wings. My buddies and I go down every Monday night with the goal of finishing 20 wings per person. Spend a couple of bucks for a beer or two and you don't even drop $10 for a night of football watching and a full stomach (and full arteries to boot!). Better yet, the wings are pretty good. I'll be honest, some nights are better than others, depending on the cook, but the good nights are great, and the "bad" nights are still pretty good.

Maurizio's downtown have the best wings ever. They are 3 times hotter than any other wing I have ever had. Wonderful!!!

I'll add a plug for Milo's. I like them grilled.

I like wings at a lot of places. They're hard to mess up.

I'll add Stella Blues on Morgan Ford Road to the list- they serve up a great batch of wings (with frequent specials) as well. 8)

the wing sauce at sybergs on market is really good.

BUt the best wings in town are in Florissant at a place called The Locker Room...if you can make it up North I highly recommend them.

I'll second Syberg's. (I'm assuming they use the same sauce at all locations and don't have a special concoction for Market Street)

Most uniquely amazing are Johnny's in Soulard.

Feraro's Pizza for BBQ wings.

Tucker's has great buffalo wings. I think they still have 1/2 price wings, burgers and pizzas, after 10 p.m., dine-in only.

FLO-TOWN!!!!

Having been to Geno's and Pat's steaks in Philly, as well as eating several other non-hyped steaks in PHL, I would also tell you that the Locker Room's Beef & Cheese is also "the best".

Sorry about sabotaging the Wing thread with Beef & Cheese sandwich talk...

Excellent wings. It's the old db's recipe.

If Johnny's is in fact using the old DB's recipe, I highly recommend them. One of the best places to get wings, by far.

The Mack on Mackland used to have very good, HUGE wings. Have not been there in a while.

Seamus McDaniels has good wings as well.

^ I'll second your observation about Seamus McDaniel's- the wings there are very good. 8)

I haven't tried the wings at Seamus yet, but I've had the buffalo chicken sammich, and it was awesome. Gotta try that.

I'll have to check Seamus out.

Not to be picky, but DB's took the recipe from Johnny's (all one family - the Daus family).

Is DB's still open? I know it reopened for a while but not sure of the current status.

Regardless, Johnny's wings are awesome.
