Good food, the arabic coffee is way too strong for me though.

Shaw coffee on the Hill is pretty good stuff, great space too.

the service at "coffee on the loop" on the east loop was beyond agreeable.

I need to try these two places.

Warwickland, I agree about Kaldi's on Demun. I stop by sometimes en route to my evening classes at WashU. Service is consistently inconsistent, and I think the place is a victim of its own success. As someone else said, I really prefer their Kirkwood location.

While I can't disrespect the coffee or the staff, I regret to say that I've fallen out of favor with Hartford Coffee Company, mostly because I don't think they EVER clean the children's play area. Since I have an active three y/o boy, the play area is one of the things that attracted me to HCC in the first place. If they'd just mop the floor in this area and bring in some toys that were less abused, I'd be absolutely fine with it.

Now that this thread has been resurrected, I'll make a plug for Murdoch Perk, located at Murdoch and Macklind avenues in Southampton. I've been several times and I've always had good experiences there. Espresso Mod downtown gets a thumbs-up, and The Gelateria serves up a great latte as well.

I hear the owner is moving it to a new location on Lindell, except this time it will be three times bigger taking up the entire mansion he plans to put it in. www.thegrindstl.com I found their website and I heard they were on myspace but I can't connect to myspace from work, so I can't confirm that.
Sure you can, use a web proxy such as this: http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html
