Not sure if this is news or not...

I walked by the old City Gourmet today, and there is certainly some work being done on inside. Also, there's a menu for Rooster in the window...could Rooster be moving into the old spot?

Just something to think about.

Correct Mr. Bailey is opening a new restraint in the old City Grocery space. I heard that the concept is going to be some sort of hybrid essentially combining all three of his current restaurants into one?????? It should be interesting.

Moderators you might want to split the threads creating a thread for the new restaurant.

Totally...  I swear, as a frequent pedestrian and cyclist, I hate to think that traffic signal might be me one day.

^ I don’t think it’s so much drunkenness as it is plain old ignorance. Lot of that around these parts.

^ yeah, and last i checked St. Louis wasn't a sovereign nation so aside from the insane Klan reference it just doesn't make any sense as a response to my previous comment.

I think 10th was closed a half block north of there at the time (at least it was soon after the accident).

So there shouldn't have even been any cross traffic.

The feats of driving idiocy in these parts never fail to amaze.

Worth mentioning that the vehicle was unregistered and should not have been on the streets in the first place. The most basic of enforcement (having a legally registered vehicle) would have an outsized impact on all forms of crime.

Which vehicle was unregistered? Or was it both?

The Jeep had two-month-old temp plates. Not that that means anything, as many of those that you see around the city are fake or stolen.

The one that crashed was not registered. The other was from Maryland. If I had a guess, I would say the driver was doing something with their phone. Surfing, texting, snapping a selfie, talking, etc. Always amazing at the people on Snapchat and Instagram that take video selfies of themselves while driving. What could go wrong?
