Well, I remember seeing some motion pictures from the World's Fair; pretty amazing. Sorry, I can't remember where I saw them.

Nice. I wanted a drone and 3D printer for Christmas. Actually a drone made from a 3D printer. No go, though.

I remember leaving my office and walking to my car and seeing a guy park on the street and run over the the Ballpark Village parking lot and launch a pretty large drone and flying it over BPV and Busch then I lost track of it. Weather out seemed to be the same as this video, I bet it was him.

I went home and googled drones and then put one on my Amazon wish list (I did not get one). Cool to see the final product.

I am fairly sure this is what he used...

If you do get one make sure you practice...

^ pro tip.... don't fly them into office buildings and stay away from the White House!

I wonder how much it would cost to rent a capable drone operator for say a day's work instead of buying and learning it yourself.

^It may have actually been one of the fly overs for a BPV promotional video. They use the same guy to do a lot of aerial and fly overs since they've opened.

One of my favorite authors is from Boston and writes historical fiction, often taking place in Boston. It was cool seeing him post the same video on his Facebook and then describe the route that the video takes based off of buildings that are still there today.

STL and the MacArthur Bridge appear in a new Amtrak commercial. You get the best view of the city from a train on the bridge and its approach.

Now there's an odd mix of emotions for you. Interesting for what it shows and very much for what it doesn't. There are some real losses there. And some gains. Bought with some of those losses. Man . . . that's a complicated little knot. A hot mess I think you could call it. One with both beauty and pain. And holy god is there a lot of nostalgia. Even for me, with memory starting some fifteen odd years later. (Will we ever be able to enjoy an elephant show again? Would it be good if we did? Is it bad if we can't? And that's but the very least of the strangeness. The. Very. Least.) Anyway . . . Thank you.

P.S. I miss adds with four part harmony. We are Lutherans! Those folks in Minnesota ain't got nothin' on us. We can sing, darn it! Let us sing!

That scene of somebody actually using the front door at the Danforth Center is remarkably not true to reality. In fact, that whole video felt intentionally misleading even when it was telling the truth. Why aren't we making cool time-lapse videos with lights and stuff? I like those better.
