Air Evac Lifeteam is moving their headquarters and 200 jobs to Winghaven in O'Fallon Mo. The article says they are the largest Air Evac company in the nation. This will also include building a new dispatch center for the company.

Great to see companies moving to the region without incentives.

^Great news indeed for the health care industry in St. Louis. Such a company will help to bolster the national health care profile of St. Louis.

Here's the building where their offices will be located.

^Correct. As well as Paric Construction and McKee's son's development company. All of these will be moving out to make way for the new headquarters, according to the article.

It would be nice to see McKee put his money where his mouth is with regard to the North-Side project and move Paric and McEagle's headquarters somewhere in the city, ideally near North. What do you think the chances of that are, however? :|

^ wait, you mean it would be helpful if McKee showed real commitment to the area by moving his HQ to near north? that's crazy talk!

btw, I am glad to hear that West Plains is keeping about 450 jobs, but I'm sure losing 100+ is still a huge hit for that very poor part of our state.

I get the sentiment, but requiring residency for developers and investors is well... I can't find an appropriate word(s) to convey tactfully how wrong-headed this is.

Obviously that would be very wrong-headed. Not at all what I was saying, Alex.

My comment was specific to this one developer in this one instance. They are attempting the largest project in the history of the city, and McKee has clearly stated he thinks there is massive potential. His company is literally in need of a new headquarters as they are moving out of their current one. IN THIS SPECIFIC INSTANCE, I don't see how they couldn't. Think of the message it sends if they do, and conversely the message they send if they don't.

It would certainly be a good PR move for someone who could use some good PR.

^ Yup. It would be a great way to show confidence in, and commitment to, his near north ambitions. get 'er done!

Shouldn't this be under the St. Charles County section instead of the St. Louis County section?

^Good point. I guess I just lump everything West of 170 as "The County" similar to how everyone West of 270 just lumps everything East of 170 as "Downtown."

My bad, though. Move thread as necessary.

Would you consider cheap rent an incentive?

I know we are a somewhat off topic, but I agree.

McKee is planning a tower on Market St. For the long-term, it would be nice if his companies would anchor the tower -or would become one of the anchors- especially considering the proposed tower's close proximity to the massive area he's trying to redevelop.

Interstate access is incredible and City Hall is right down the road.
