Looks incredible but our entire DT should be a “pedestrian corridor”. Let’s duplicate this about 20 times DT

@dbInSouthCity Chestnut continues to be problematic near city garden. Johnson controls and other vehicles blocked the bike only lane. Was frustrating.

The signs are in violation of standard BPS sidewalk obstruction standards (except as allowed by BPS engineer). I hope they fix these before too many kids slice their heads open. I've contacted the city to let them know about the issue.3.PNG
A bit of good news - the improperly placed signs have been removed!

But, now for a few more criticisms.

We spent extra money to install durable adhesive paint, only to have it half "erased" by blacktop tar, which kind of seems to defeat the purpose.

And, looks like they installed some fancy traffic sensors in the bike path, but they may have gotten a little cooked during installation of the lane markings (which are applied using a propane torch). Hopefully it's just cosmetic.

Looks like the tar circles are from joy riders doing their thing. Another reason we can't have nice things.
