The 6 North Coffee Company seems to have let their old domain go and
now has a shorter address and a new site online at: http://www.6ncoffee.com

It surprises me that the lot directly across the street from 6 North has been vacant as long as it has. It seems like a prime site for a similar mixed-use development.
^I know the folks that own the empty lot across from 6 North. Frankly, I'm surprised it's still vacant too, but I expect something to happen before long. These people are long-time city real estate people, and were instrumental in getting one of the recent, big CWE projects off the ground. I know they care deeply about the city, and want only what's best for it in the long run.
That said, I hope we hear something soon, because it really is a prime site...

6 North Coffee has opened a downtown location in the Gateway One Building. It's located in the former Cafe Dejeuner space at the corner of 8th and Chestnut. The website lists hours as 7-3 pm, Monday thru Fridays only.
I hate to give a bad review to a restaurant after only visiting once, but the "Six North Cafe" downtown is miserable. They offer one soup a day, some sandwiches, and little salads. It's not cheap. A "pick two" was something like $8.50, and there is absolutely no way the soup could have been freshly-made as touted. It was exactly like Campbell's Chunky "Fajita Chicken with Rice and Beans" soup...kind of all muddled flavor and artificially thickened. The tiny half-sandwich had two soggy from-a-jar "fire roasted red peppers" on it. Nothing comes with it (like a piece of fruit or baguette as at BreadCo). It's a shame because there's pretty convenient access to a bunch of office buildings nearby, including BOA, AT&T, and Gateway One. I just can't see value or quality here.
